Doctoral Student Fatimot Ladipo is an accomplished government and community affairs executive with more than two decades of experience advancing public policy, strengthening institutional partnerships, and shaping strategic external engagement. She serves as Associate Vice President for Government and Community Relations at Spelman College, where she leads the College’s federal, state, and local policy strategy and serves as the primary liaison to elected officials, government agencies, and civic partners. In this capacity, she advances regulatory positioning, funding opportunities, and visibility efforts that reinforce Spelman’s mission as one of the nation’s premier liberal arts colleges and top-ranked HBCUs.Fatimot’s cross-sector career includes leadership roles in corporate public affairs, municipal government, higher education, and statewide policy organizations. Her previous positions at The Coca-Cola Company, the City of Atlanta, AT&T, the Georgia Institute of Technology, Kennesaw State University, the Georgia Student Finance Commission, and the Georgia Dental Association reflect a professional trajectory defined by coalition building, policy innovation, and advocacy-driven results.Her professional interests include institutional strategy, higher education policy, civic capacity-building, and community-centered economic development. Fatimot holds a Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies from the University of Virginia and a Master of Science in Public Policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
