EdD, 2019 Anthony Leigh serves as the senior vice president for institutional development and alumni relations at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Ala. In this capacity he serves as the chief advancement officer for the college, overseeing development, alumni relations, enrollment management, governmental affairs, communications, marketing, and career services. Prior to joining the administration at Huntingdon in 2009, Leigh served as Alabama’s deputy state treasurer from 2003 to 2009. He also enjoyed a three-year stint on the Washington staff of U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions, serving as his legislative assistant for economic policy and economic development. A native of Sheffield, Ala., Leigh received his undergraduate degree from Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C., where he was a three-year officer of the student body, serving as president his senior year. He has a master’s degree in philanthropy and development from Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota. Leigh is an active member of the Montgomery community. He is the immediate past chairman of the advisory board of Baptist Medical Center East, past chairman of the board of stewards at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church, a member of the board of directors of the Business Council of Alabama and the Montgomery Rotary Club Foundation.
