Solomon Hughes is an educator, actor, and filmmaker.
Dr. Hughes has served as an instructor and faculty affiliate with the Samuel DuBois Cook Center on Social Equity at Duke University. Previously, he was Associate Director of Stanford University’s Enhancing Diversity in Graduate Education Doctoral Fellowship Program. He has also taught in Stanford’s Graduate School of Education and designed undergraduate courses examining the intersections of race, college athletics, and academic achievement.
Dr. Hughes earned his PhD in Higher Education from the University of Georgia and holds both a BA and an MA from the University of California, Berkeley. He is also a contributor to Inside Higher Ed, where he has written on issues related to higher education, race, and athletics
