After earning his degree from the Institute, Walter Jones, Jr. enrolled at Columbia Seminary. After graduation, he began serving at Eastminster Church in 1984. He moved to Alpharetta Presbyterian Church in 1995, where he remained senior pastor until accepting the title pastor ermeritus in the fall of 2011.
