John Mitchell is the president and CEO of IPC, Association Connecting Electronics Industries.

Mitchel is a former CEO of Golden Key International Honour Society.  During his tenure there he helped galvanize the society around fulfilling its mission by focusing on the advancement of academics, leadership and service. 

A graduate of Brigham Young University (BYU), Mitchell received his Bachelors of Science in electrical and computer engineering. He later earned a Master’s degree in business administration from the Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business and Management executive program.

Mitchell is active in the Atlanta community in various ways, but focuses his efforts on youth and education programs such as the Boy Scouts of America, Venture scouts, young men and women church programs, and YMCA fundraising committees. He is a member of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and an active participant in its Education Committee. He is a member of the first cohort of the Executive EdD in Higher Education Management who graduated in December 2011.

Mitchell has been a speaker at several international conferences and symposia and has presented to executives and press around the globe. Mitchell holds a US patent for navigation systems and speaks fluent Japanese.
