Janet Kelly is assistant vice president for enrollment services in Marketing and Public Relations at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) in Warner Robins, GA. In this position, she oversees the internal and external communications for each college division, including strategic marketing efforts to influence enrollment at one of Georgia’s largest two-year colleges.

Previously, Kelly worked as Middle Georgia Technical College’s (MGTC) director of marketing and interim director of college advancement. During this time, she was acting executive director for the MGTC Foundation and managed special fundraising projects to support student scholarships. Additionally, she solely created and implemented new marketing strategies for the college, leading to an all-time record enrollment of 4,200 students in 2010.

In 2013, Kelly managed the development of an integrated marketing campaign, Better Together, to inform constituents of the merger of MGTC and CGTC. Following the one-year mark of the merger, she and her team implemented an award-winning awareness campaign, Promise Delivered, for the new CGTC, which serves more than 11,000 students annually.

Kelly has 15 years’ experience in the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), beginning her career at South Georgia Technical College. She serves as CGTC’s coordinator of the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) program, which recognizes the top students in technical education in Georgia, and is a member of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations. She is also a graduate of TCSG’s Executive Leadership Academy, an internal program focused on developing future leaders for Georgia’s technical colleges.
