Doctoral student

Heather Collins is the policy analyst for the University System of Georgia’s Office of Academic Affairs and a doctoral student in the Institute of Higher Education.  In her role as policy analyst, Collins works with USG office staff and institutional representatives to review policies and procedures affecting college completion.  Prior to joining USG, she spent several years working in philanthropy -- at institutions and with nonprofits -- focusing on the postsecondary experience of underrepresented and nontraditional students.  Collins earned her bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a master’s degree in higher education from the University of Pennsylvania.
