PhD, 2011 F. Mauricio Saavedra graduated with an emphasis in quantitative research methods and institutional research. He is currently, the executive director for institutional research at California Polytechnic State University and serves as one of the members for the Board of Directors for the Association for Institutional Research (AIR). He was formerly the director for institutional research and research for the social sciences and humanities at Universidad Internacional del Ecuador (UIDE) in Quito where he lived for two and a half years. Prior to graduating from IHE, Dr. Saavedra was contacted by the Minister of Higher Education in Ecuador to provide support for this institution. During his time in Ecuador, Mauricio Saavedra expanded institutional research capacity, taught courses and conducted seminars related to research methods, and provided consulting services to the Ministry of Higher Education in relation to the national information system for higher education.
