EdD, 2011 Adam Sterritt is the assistant vice president for student success and engagement at The University of Alabama, where he provides enhanced coordination and collaboration for UA’s programs and services related to student success. He leads campus retention and completion initiatives and directly oversees the Capstone Center for Student Success, Ferguson Student Center, First Year Experience & Retention Initiatives, Student Involvement, Student Media, and University Programs. In addition, Dr. Sterritt serves as a temporary member of the Graduate Faculty in the Department of Educational Leadership, Technology, and Policy Studies, teaching graduate level courses in the Higher Education Administration program. Dr. Sterritt started his career in higher education at The Florida State University, where he also received a bachelor’s degree in Communication and master’s degree in Higher Education, and earned an Ed.D. from the Institute of Higher Education at the University of Georgia. Sterritt currently serves on the editorial board for the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Journal of College and Character and on the Board of Directors for the Hardee Center for Leadership and Ethics in Higher Education at The Florida State University.
