Solomon Hughes is the Assistant Director of EDGE Doctoral Fellowship Program at Stanford University. He earned a B.A. in Sociology, and an M.A. in Education from UC Berkeley. He earned a Ph.D. in higher education from the Institute of Higher Education at the University of Georgia. He is also the resident fellow for Mirrielees and Rains, which is a Substance-Free residential community at Stanford.
His research interests include, the college choice process, college access, and the student-athlete college experience. Solomon serves on the advisory board of Athlife, a nonprofit that focuses its efforts on ensuring that students in challenged communities can garner the skills to succeed in postsecondary pursuits.
