Myles Jones currently serves as the state of North Carolina Board of Trustee Public Representative for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, where he has recently embraced his passion for the order and compliance of higher education. Mr. Jones has ten-plus years of expertise as a business owner, certified manager of investment operations, internal consultant and project operations manager within the corporate headquarters of IBM and the former Wachovia Corporate Operational Service, North America. Dr. Jones has integrated his fortune 500 corporate and entrepreneurial experiences into his teaching as adjunct lecturer for four years at the Fayetteville State University School of Business and Managerial Economics; while concurrently founding, owning, and operating a model start up, L.L.C.as an applicable example of community-based business development. In addition Dr. Jones has served his local community as a former class president for the Institute for Community Leadership and is a part of numerous organizations that incorporate his proposed community and educational objectives. He has lectured both internationally and regionally at conferences on marketing and business education and expects to continue these efforts by broadening his practice through scholarly research.
Dr. Jones received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Banking and Finance with a minor in Managerial Economics from Fayetteville State University. Also, he received his M.B.A., with a concentration in management from East Carolina University.
