Marilyn De LaRoche joined the University of Michigan as Senior Director for University Housing and Auxiliary Services in 2015. Previously she served as Director of University Housing at Georgia State University (GSU), an institution with over 32,000 students enrolled and almost 5,000 housed on campus. She has over 25 years of experience in residential housing as well as several years of experience in protective social services. Marilyn received her Bachelor of Science in Home Economics with emphasis in Business from the University of Missouri, Columbia. She received her Master of Arts in Psychological Counseling from Southeast Missouri State University and her Master of Science of Education in Student Personnel from Illinois State University.
At Georgia State University, Marilyn served on the University Crisis Team, the Alcohol and Drug Intervention committee; the Safety and Security committee; the University Avian Flu committee and the Enrollment Management Group. Her professional affiliations include the American College Personnel Association (ACPA), and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA). She is a member of the first cohort of the Executive Ed.D. in Higher Education Management who graduated in December, 2011.
