Alexis Szelwach

Alexis Szelwach serves at the University of Georgia College of Family & Consumer Sciences as a Transition Coordinator for the Destination Dawgs Program. 

Alexis graduated from University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and Certificate in Leadership Studies.  While at UCF, she served as a resident assistant for Housing and Residence Life for three years, worked as the external legislative assistant for Student Government, assisted their Vice President of Student Affairs with her Council, and served as an official UCF ambassador on the President’s Leadership Council. She conducted undergraduate research regarding high impact practices and the effects they have on retention rates for her previous institution.

Her research interests lie in the effects of higher education policy on retention rates.
